Paramount Pictures has just just released two new character posters of The Last Airbender, and they look totally bad-ass.  The movie is one of the most highly-anticipated movies that will be out this summer. And the studio is making sure that people will rush to theaters to catch it.The two posters really look amazing. Similar posters have been previously released with the two characters, Aang and Prince Zuko. But the latest looks a lot more awesome. Way, way more cooler… or hotter. but which do you prefer? The first one is Aang with his element, air. But unlike the first one where Aang’s element was just made as a background, not he is seen bending air. The effects of the smoky air is just breathtaking. Aang is the last remaining airbender. He is considered to be the latest incarnation of the Avatar, the physical embodiment of the world who disappeared for over a hundred years after he was trapped in an iceberg. An Avatar has the ability to control the four elements Earth, Fire, Water, and Air . And it is his duty to unite and maintain balance between the four nations: the Earth Kingdom, the Fire Nation,  the Water Tribes, and the Air Nomads.  But before he could fulfill his destiny, he must learn how to bend all the four elements. But he doesn’t feel like fulfilling what he was born to do because he’d rather have fun and play than being an Avatar. Aang is played by newcomer Noah Ringer.

The second poster shows Prince Zuko. He is seen bending fire, his nation’s element. Fire is coming out of his two hands making out an X. It is scorching hot. Prince Zuko is the banished prince of the Fire Nation. he is the son of Fire Lord Ozai. He travels with his uncle, retired General Iroh. He believes that in order to d bring back the dignity and honor he has lost and return him as the rightful heir to the throne, he must capture the Avatar. He has the ability to manipulate and control fire. Prince Zuko is played by Dev Patel. Patel is best known for his role in the hugely successful and Oscar -winning movie Slumdog Millionaire as Jamal Malik.

The Last Airbender is based on the first season of the Nickelodeon and NickToons animated series, Avatar: The Last Airbender. The series has won several awards including an Emmy and Peabody awards. It is also one of the highest rated show in Nickelodeon. In the movie, the world is divided into four nations. Each one of these nations has the ability to bend their respective elements. But the world is in peril because for about a century there is no Avatar. And because of this, the Fire Nation decided to wage war against the remaining nations and try to take conquer them. The world’s only hope rests on the 12-year old Aang, the last airbender. He is said to be the Avatar. He must return the balance between the four nation to bring back peace and order into the world. Together with his friends, waterbender Katara and her warrior Sokka, Aang must go on a perilous journey to learn to control all the elements and in the process accept his destiny as the Avatar.

M. Night Shyamalan directed the movie and will be released in theaters on July 2, 2010 in 3D and you can Watch The Last Airbender Online Free here on kralix a day or two after the release.
