The upcoming action movie is set in the mystical land of Persia in the 6th century. It tells a story of a street urchin named Dastan. After the king saw him showing valor in a fight, he adopted him as an heir to the throne so that the king’s two sons will not fight over it. He then grows up as an adventurous young prince. He then is tricked by a dying evil lord, Nizam, to unleash the Sands of Time. It is a legendary gift from the gods that allows its possessor to turn back time and rule all over the world. In order save his own kingdom and redeem his fatal mistake, he reluctantly teams up with a mysterious princess, Tamina, to stop the villainous nobleman from unleashing over the sandstorm and keep him from destroying the world. It is up to him and the princess to return the Sands of Time into the hourglass by using the Dagger of Time, which can give him a limited control over the flow of time.
